     You’re gonna LOVE this new author!!

    A stunning first novel from a VERY talented author! Ms Alexander has a wonderful, unique turn of phrases which is delightfully refreshing. I foresee a tremendously successful career for this author, she keeps you riveted with her storytelling, and her support team is to be commended for the ‘cleanliness’ of the finished product.

    I just finished Brick and am about to start Rook, then Boss. Please hurry with Tallie’s story, the waiting is painful. 😉 And a HEARTFELT THANK YOU to the author for putting these books (and all future ones, too, I hope!) on KU for those of us on “limited incomes”!!

    Slow, steady and patience – what really brings a HEA.

    Chrislyn Alexander’s debut Brick: In His Crosshairs, we meet Rowan & her adorable daughter Willow who’s had a very tough life. On the run, finally settling down in a quaint mountain town, there’s Calder (aka Brick). With Calder, there’s a group of fellow soldiers of Blackstone Tactical.

    Calder knows there’s somethin’ amiss with Rowan, from the way she clocks every exit but he also knows he can’t force the situation to be better. He’s patient… He’s steadfast. Willow is freaking adorable and I just wanna hug her.

    This book is FULL of angst, steam, action but mostly – patience. Calder knows he has to prove himself to Rowan that he isn’t going to hurt her like the one she’s running from, and I was 20/10 very happy that Calder took a stance on that (wink wink hint hint).

    Both have demons in their past, more from Rowan’s side but also there is some with Calder. I loved how Calder was with Willow, always patient and willing to listen to her. Show her that not all men are hurtful.

    You truly feel how the buildup between them, and that they got their HEA.

    Ma’am, I humbly request that Tallie’s story is released ASAP. I WANNA KNOW!

      What an amazing story!

    Absolutely nailed it Chrislyn Alexander. Loved Rook’s intensity and Allison coming into her own. Looking forward to the rest of the Blackstone Tactical series, can’t wait to find out about Smoke, Tallie and Finn’s story. Absolutely recommend it!     2nd book in the series. Must read the first book. Great Ending…can’t wait to learn more about Smoke and Tally!

    FYI…as of 12/23/25 Boss is available. I found it when I clicked on the author’s name and it came up. It looks like a shorter book.

     Absolute must read

    Loved it! The intensity that is Boss… Maddox and Phoebe ruled the pages with their intensity and attraction in spite of the danger Phoebe and Bodie was in. Bodie was and old soul stuck in a child’s body, who had to grow up too fast and forgot what it was like to be a child. Loved the intensity, the build-up and attraction between Boss and Phoebe.     Anyhow , if you have read the other 2 books you have met Boss. Que the swoon. He is my fav of the group. His control and leadership was forged in war. He is always watching and finding the best plan for the op. It will be those skills when he helps a single mom on the run. He will be the one to see her and help her slay her demons. So grab your favorite reading spot and watch Boss do what he does best and find his home.
